Getting Started

Well, today marks my first blog about getting back into photography. I am staying at home this year, and want to pursue this love of mine--which will also provide me with an opportunity to tap into my creativity and earn some extra money. I must face the facts...I cannot just stay at home. I just can't.

As I begin this new adventure, I have many decisions to make...and I have decided to start small, and grow. I will create a website like I had before, but I want to do things a little differently...so I will have to learn a little more about my choices with webhosting and all of that. Things have changed, and there are more options now!

But I am dying to get started with sessions--so I need some clients!

To pull in new clients, I am going to offer a very low rate to start off. This offer will be good for all bookings made by September 27th. The session does not have to be this week--but you must have contacted me to reserve a date by the September 27th. Then I will likely go to my full prices...

So a regularly priced family photo session would be $70 (which includes an 8x10 portrait of your choice). The session will last about an hour, and there will be 20 proofs for you to view. You may do as many wardrobe changes as you like in that time. I overshoot, which means that you will have an abundance of pictures taken, but I will narrow it down to the best 20 shots. If you book this week, I will do the session for $40 (but this special will not include the 8x10).

Once you have viewed the proofs, you have 10 days to order prints and enlargements at half-price. After that, the prints will be available to you, but at full price only. Below is the price list of prints and enlargements at regular price.

4x6 $8.00
5x7 $12.00
8x10 $20.00
11x14 $45.00
16x20 $120.00
8 Wallets $20.00

Here are a few of my recent pictures. I will be uploading more a little at a time...including those from when I did this a few years ago. You'll notice, of course, that the recent ones will be my own children.
